Philip Ganaban is a dedicated public servant with a rich and diverse educational background. He holds an Associate in Applied Science in Environmental Health and Emergency Management and a Bachelor of Science in Cyber Security and Business Administration. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Human Resources and Organizational Management. This diverse academic foundation has equipped him with broad skills and knowledge, allowing him to approach problems from multiple perspectives and create well-rounded solutions.

 

Military Service:

 

Philip's extensive military career spans 18 years in the Navy, where he served as a Corpsman with advanced training in emergency medicine and public health. His specialization in Chemical, Biological, and Radiological Warfare and his role as a Senior Medical Officer underscore his leadership and expertise in high-stakes environments. His advanced emergency medical training enabled him to diagnose and treat military members for a variety of illnesses, including mental health and long-term conditions. His commitment to public health has been a cornerstone of his career, demonstrating his dedication to improving health outcomes for all.

 

Operational Experience:

 

Philip's operational experience is vast, having worked in over 12 countries and 28 states. This extensive exposure to different cultures and economic environments has given him a unique perspective on global issues and best practices. His travels and hands-on experiences have enriched his understanding of how various states and countries address economic challenges, and he is committed to applying these insights to benefit District 45.

 

Community Involvement:

 

Philip's dedication to his community is evident through his involvement in local governance and youth development. He serves as the Chair of the Waianae Neighborhood Board and is a Boys and Girls Club board member. His leadership roles in these organizations highlight his commitment to creating a supportive and vibrant community. Additionally, Philip is passionate about reducing gun violence and actively participates in community events to make neighborhoods safer for everyone.
